5.5 Report on student achievement

Demonstrate understanding of a range of strategies for reporting to students and parents/carers and the purpose of keeping accurate and reliable records of student achievement.

There are a number of ways which teachers report to students and carers, are few of these are:

  • Through report cards
  • Through phone calls
  • Through the schools Learning Management System
  • Assemblies
  • Notes home
  • Through discussion
  • Parent/teacher Interviews

It it also really important to keep accurate & reliable records of student achievement which is why most schools use a central database (such as Sentral), All student assessment results are added into the system as well as comments and observations about student behaviours.
